Hello, Shw mae, Conas ata tu, Bonjour, Merhaba, Yasoo – I’m Sarah Oliver, the Deputy Head at Cuckoo Hall.
Cuckoo Hall is an outstanding school which offers learning opportunities to everyone who walks through the door. Our school is full to the brim and there are many families on our waiting list who would like to come here. Cuckoo Hall is a school where people want to be and that means it is a happy place. Parents are overwhelmingly supportive of the school and comment very favourably about the progress their children make here.
I have been Deputy Headteacher at Cuckoo Hall since September 2003. During that time we have seen many changes. The whole school team has worked to continuously improve the environment and opportunities which support pupil learning and personal development. Pupils and staff at Cuckoo Hall are encouraged to be kind and thoughtful individuals who understand the role they play in their own learning and how they are important in the lives of others.
Standards at Cuckoo Hall are excellent due to everyone’s hard work. When I say everyone, I mean everyone! Pupils, parents, Governors, kitchen staff, friends of the school, teachers, support staff, site managers, the office staff... and the list goes on. We love to learn here and we are always finding exciting ways to share new information.
If you can spare a few moments please read our most recent OFSTED report which endorses our work.Cuckoo Hall has achieved many awards. Our school is a National Support School which means we support other schools with their development. We have achieved the Basic Skills Quality Mark for the third time, the Sports Active Mark, the Healthy Schools Award, the Leading Parent Partnership Award and we have achieved Outstanding Schools Status. We are currently waiting for our ICT Quality Mark and our Inclusion Mark. So as you can see, besides the most important things (our pupils!) we have lots to keep us going.
I welcome any questions you may have about Cuckoo Hall. I can be contacted through the main office.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Bye for now
Sarah Oliver
