In line with government guidelines the governors of Cuckoo Hall consider that sex education should form part of the curriculum. This is taught as part of a Health Education Programme in year 6. Parents who do not wish their child to take part in this should inform the school in writing.

Cuckoo Hall is not a denominational school. Within the Education Act we take great care to be sensitive to the range of religious experience that the children bring into school and we try to give all children an understanding of the major faiths.

We teach to Enfield’s agreed syllabus and follow themes which explore our relationships with each other and our environment. We are a school with rich cultural diversity and we give value to a variety of festivals and customs. We aim to develop attitudes of appreciation, awareness, reflective thinking, curiosity and wonder.
