There
are assemblies every day for the lower and upper school, in accordance
with the Education Reform Act. Whole school assemblies are held every
week where parents are invited to class performances and individual
achievement awards. Stories are told from world religions and various
religious festivals are explained as they occur.
We
also learn about nature and the world around us. There is an emphasis
on kindness, compassion, truthfulness and respect towards each other,
the community around us and the environment.
We encourage all children to take part in the collective worship aspect
of our assemblies because the emphasis is on giving respect and value
to everyone in our rich and diverse school community. This fully
supports our ethos in promoting all of our children's spiritual,
cultural and personal development. A copy of our Collective Worship
policy is available from the school office.
