Our
school meals are cooked on the premises. There are vegetarian options
available on request. The school has worked hard to ensure that our
meals are prepared strictly in accordance with health and nutrition
guidelines, in order to provide children with a balanced meal. Meals
are very well presented and served in our attractive dining room that
is child friendly and promotes healthy eating. If
children bring their own packed lunch these must be provided in a
suitable container, with no glass bottles. Packed lunches must not
contain unhealthy items such as fizzy drinks, sweets, chocolate etc.
Due to our strong emphasis on high quality cooked meals provided by our
caterers it is preferable that children have this option rather than a
packed lunch. You are welcome to visit out dining room to view the
meals that are served, please let the school office know. Dinner
money should be sent to school in a clearly labelled envelope on
Mondays for the whole week. Payments in advance for longer periods can
be made in the school office.Details of the cost of school meals are
also available from the office. It is essential that dinner money is
received on time as any arrears will effect your child’s entitlement to
a school meal. You will be contacted promptly if payment for school
meals is not made. If you wish to change your child’s arrangements regarding packed lunch and school meals the office will require one week’s notice in writing. If
your child is eligible for Free School Meals it is essential that you
apply for this entitlement – our office staff are happy to provide
advice and support with this and the application form can be downloaded from here. |
